ABOUT OUR CHEF
Andrea Covino trained and cooked in his native Naples, Italy, before coming to the United States in 1987. He became the Executive Chef at Philadelphia’s Girasole when it opened in 1991 and ran the kitchen of Girasole in Atlantic City until 1996. In 2004, Covino opened Andrea Trattoria Italiana in Newfield, NJ, bringing his own vision of an authentic Italian fine-dining experience to life. In 2005, he shared his kitchen secrets and opened a second location (Andrea Trattoria Italiana II) with his brother-in-law, Sergio Herrera, in Sea Isle City. In 2020, Covino set his sights on Cape May, moving Andrea Trattoria Italiana to the historic seashore resort.

ABOUT OUR RESTAURANT
A BYOB, Andrea Trattoria Italiana offers an authentic Italian fine dining experience: three courses, everything fresh, and seasonal, locally grown produce picked by Covino himself. And in true trattoria fashion, it’s a family-run operation. Andrea runs the kitchen, while his wife, Lucy, runs the front of house.
